Queer crip art, activism and rebellion in the era of Covid-19 (and beyond) gets amplified by CUTTER // NASH in a live captioned YouTube broadcast on Monday 23rd May at 8pm.
Hosted by Disability Arts Online – drop in for an hour-long programme of pop and experimental music, political poetry and insightful interviews drawn from the queer and disability arts community in response to the Covid-19 pandemic, presented by artists Gareth Cutter and Gemma Nash (CUTTER // NASH).
Inspired by broadcasts such as the 1947 French radio show, ‘La Tribune de l’Invalide’, and ‘Gaywaves’, the 1980s British radio programme run in the era of Section 28, its a space for queer and disabled voices to explore the changes, challenges and opportunities brought about by the Covid-19 pandemic, and send a message out to the rest of the world.
Let’s turn up the volume on queer disability rights!
Tune in, ask us a question, point us in the direction of other brilliant activists, or just send us a shout out. We’ll be taking questions and comments via our YouTube comment forum and twitter feed via #TheQuips for a live response from CUTTER // NASH throughout the broadcast.
